Renovated Länsimäki library will open on January 2

Länsimäki library—under renovation for eight months—will open on January 2, 2018, at 9:00.
The basic renovation of the library was planned together with Youth Services and residents, which is why the premises are more suitable for local events to be arranged. Furthermore, the employees of the library and the youth center will increase their cooperation.

The premises were completely renovated

The indoor premises of the library were completely renovated and the windows were changed. The library now has a peaceful reading room and an area of its own for small children. In addition, residents can reserve a better-equipped group room.

The library has plenty of material for children that constantly adapts to the users’ needs with the help of floating. Adults can enjoy a collection based on snappy, fairly new material.

Opening hours: Mon-Wed: 9:00-20:00, Thurs-Fri: 9:00-16:00, Sat: 10:00-16:00

Self-service library on the way

In the future, Länsimäki library will be even more flexible: in early 2018, a system that allows the library to be used as a self-service library will be installed.

The opening hours of the self-service library will be announce on Länsimäki librarys website, on Helmet.fi, as soon as the self-help system has been installed.
