Use the PressReader service to read foreign newspapers and magazines

The PressReader service makes available to you the Finnish newspapers Hufvudstadsbladet, Västra Nyland and Östnyland, as well as thousands of foreign newspapers and magazines, which you can read remotely without restrictions and free of charge. 

You can read foreign print media in your own home via the Press Reader service. Customers of the Helmet library use the service free of charge. The service contains over 7,000 newspapers and magazines from around the world.

You can read the papers on your smartphone, computer or tablet. You can also listen to many newspapers and magazines.

You only need your Helmet library card number and PIN code.

There are 28 categories in magazines. You may also easily filter the collection by language or country.

The most read magazines are Auto Express, T3, Bloomberg Businessweek, Amateur Photographer, Mojo, Linux Format, Men’s Health, The GuardianWeekly, Apple Magazine, BBC Good Food Magazine, What HI-Fi, Newsweek, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and Variety.

The most popular newspapers are HBL, The Guardian, Svenska Dagbladet, Aftonbladet, Corriere Della Sera, El Pais, The Washington Post, Daily Mail, Le Figaro, Liberation, G2, New York Post, The Daily Telegraph, Der Tagesspiegel, and Daily Mirror.
