Story Mat – design contest
Design a new mat for the children’s section at Itäkeskus Library! What kind of mat would like to sit, play or read on at the library?
Anyone from kindergarten up to fourth grade can take part in the contest. The contest will be held from October 1 through November 4 2022. You can win a small version of the mat you have designed!

Story Mat – design contest
Design a new mat for the children’s section at Itäkeskus Library! The design contest is for children from kindergarten to fourth grade. The contest will be held from October 1 through November 4 2022. The winning design will be put on display at the library, on our webpage, and on our social media platforms.
Instructions for entering the contest:
-the design must be drawn with crayon
-don’t be afraid to use a lot of color and fill the whole page
-the design should be A3 size
-put your name and your guardian’s contact information on the back of your work
-please do not fold your work
-submit your design at the info desk in the children’s section of Itäkeskus Library by November 4
The library judges will choose three works from which all library users can then vote their favorite. The winner will receive a small version (85X120cm) of the newly designed mat.
